IMaSS successfully developed a method measuring the local magnetic moments with atomic-plane resolution.
- A world record in spatial resolution for measuring the magnetic moments of a ferromagnetic material. -

Prof. S. Muto's group has successfully developed, for the first time in the world, a quantitative measurement scheme of magnetic moments in ferromagnetic materials with atomic plane resolution, using a nano-probe of a transmission electron microscope.
